  • Thanks! But the £5 voucher is valid when you by something over £35.
Money is not the root of all evil.
It depends on how you obtain it and how you use it.

That is true, it is £5 voucher at participating stores when you return a bag of old m&s clothing.

Oxfam Clothes Exchange Terms and Conditions
    • You'll be given a £5 voucher for every clothing donation you make to Oxfam which contains at least one item of M&S-labelled clothing, including shoes, handbags, belts, hats and scarves.
    • This offer does include donations of M&S bras, but does not include donations of the following M&S clothing: swimwear, underwear, socks, or damaged or soiled items.
    • Vouchers are subject to M&S's terms and conditions which are detailed below.
    • The voucher entitles you to £5 off your next purchase of £35 or more on clothing, home and beauty products in participating M&S stores.
    • In the Republic of Ireland the voucher will be worth €7 off purchases of €50 or more on clothing, home and beauty products.
    • Only one voucher can be used for each transaction of £35 (€50) or more.
    • The voucher is redeemable only during the calendar month stated on the voucher.
    • The voucher is not redeemable against M&S food or Tailoring alterations.
    • The voucher is not redeemable on purchases made online or over the phone (including instore customer orders).
    • Voucher can be used in conjunction with other Marks & Spencer offers, as long as the minimum spend threshold requirements are met for each separate offer.
    • Valid instore on presentation of the original voucher at the till.
    • Must be handed in on redemption.
    • Can be used once only in a single transaction.
    • One voucher only per transaction.
    • Voucher cannot be used for the purchase of Gift Cards or Vouchers or Marks & Spencer Money products, or to pay Credit Card or Chargecard balances.
    • Offer strictly non-transferable. Marks & Spencer reserves the right to reject the voucher with reasonable cause.
  • Confirmed in store today. They have signs up detailing the above, without the all the T&Cs of course!

Hmm, good idea but the voucher T&C's seem unecessarily restrictive to me.

Have put latest info into first post including link to find out participating stores
  • I know the Oxfam deal is 'take a bag of clothes including at least 1 M&S item' but with M&S is there any minimum donation? Can't see anything on their website that suggests there is. Don't want to turn up with a little donation and find out I was meant to take a whole bag of stuff.

I'm taking in 2 old bras LOL, a skirt and pair of trousers.....hope that will be enough to secure my £5 ;)

I took a bag into the Ipswich branch today, just 4 tops and 1 skirt, 3 items that were M&S label.
No problem getting the voucher, and they didnt check for the M&S items.
    Growing old disgracefully!

They were handing out little pink slips as you went into M&S today. Can't really see the point of doing it today - if i'm already out at the shops i'm hardly likely to nip home, sort out my wardrobe and then pop back with my donation.
