Anyone heard of Clear Start?

Hi there,
Has anyone heard of this company? My OHs mother wants to do an IVA. Both CCCS and Payplan have said that she can only do a Debt Management Plan not an IVA.
I am concerned as she is now going with company who say she can do an IVA. https://www.clearstart.org
Why would the others have said she can't? And are Clear Start reputable? I can't find any mention of them on this site.
Many thanks,

how much does your OHs Mother owe?
how much can she afford to pay each month
does she have any assetts, is there a house ..if so how much is it worth and how much is the mortgage
check how Clear Start charge for their services. do not go to any company that asks for any fees upfront or indeed any fees except after the IVA is agreed.0 -
If both CCCS & Payplan have said a DMP is her best option then that really is the best advice, both companies are charities and will only give the advice that is right for that clients situation, if an IVA was her best option she would have been told so.
I’m sorry but if a DMP is her best option then her companies are not going to vote for an IVA, however by this point the IVA company will have taken the “deposit” knowing full well her IVA wouldn’t be successful.
If she really would like to consider an IVA then I suggest she get back in touch with one of the debt charities and discuss the possibilities, both CCCS & Payplan will refer her to a reputable IVA company if it’s a viable option.
May i just ask how much she owes and how much she can repay a month?

I don't know how much she owes, but I am concerned that she is being given bad advice. I agree, that if a DMP is being advised by these 2 reputable companies, then it is for a good reason.
Is it up to the companies that she owes money to whether she'll be granted an IVA then?
She doesn't own a property, and her husband was recently declared bankrupt if that makes any difference.

an IVA is an agreement between creditors and your mother, her creditors vote and 75% by value need to accept then its binding on them all. if she has not property then the key facts are
how much are her debts
how much can she afford each month0 -

While they do seem to be "reputable" (how do you really define this?), I agree with the people above - get her to ask the chairty guys why she should do one & not the other.0
