Economy 7 Warning

Just heard an excellent story about a man who had economy 7 connected ed but hadn't been used in 3 years because he got the oil in.

This property is a holiday home. He throws the trip when he leaves.
When he throw the trip back on, a sizeable chunk of his electric money simply disappears.

He eventually figured that if the economy 7 system is connected to your electric it will take money, even if it's never used.

He reckons £30-£50 a year.

NIE don't tell you this. In fact he had to go through the Consumer Council to get a refund.
NIE are scared everybody will start claiming.

Unless NIE come and take the equipment out, you will be paying this hidden charge.

    NIE do tell this. If you opt foe E7 then there will be a £10.00 charge per quarter ireespective whether you use it or not
