i was going to put the sc on today and make ham hock and lentil soup, but looked in pantry and i have no ham stock cubes,:eek:
i normally use knorr ones, i have got chicken and lamb, does anyone know
can i use these???

I have never used ham stockcubes i always use vegetable ones as they are OK with everything, not sure about chicken or lamb really but would say chicken first if you have nothing else.
Alternately if you have some carrots onions celery, pepper corns, bay leaves etc you could make your own stock.0 -

I wouldn't bother with stock cubes at all if I had a ham hock. It will give enough flavour on it's own. You can use the other cubes if you want though, it will alter the flavour but it certainly won't make it inedible.
I don't like stock cubes as they're invariably full of MSG and other rubbish0 -
