    That is just the day to day expense and does not cover things like car repair/replacement, washing machine TV etc replacement, clothing, holidays i.e. items that should be budgeted for and will now have to come out of the capital.

    Suggest you do a realistic proper budget then, including everything.Have a look at the "Statements of Affairs"(SOAs) that the people on the Debt board produce - they are a very useful template for estimating costs.
    No ISA's etc as I had to cash all those in

    That was an error.NEVER cash in an ISA if you can possibly avoid it, as you lose that tax free allowance forever. :(
