Need £2000 loan but been refused by hsbc

Hi there i need a loan for £2000 to help with some wedding costs but have been refused by hsbc but they could offer me no reason as to why. I have gone overdrawn a few times but have had my account with them for about 7 years and gone overdrawn about 7 times. I also have a car on finance owing about £7500 and am not a home owner. my annual salary is between 16000 and 19000

If anyone has any ideas of where to look please let me know.
Thank you very much.

And going overdrawn about 7 times, and using your overdraft at all suggests you can't service the debts you already have let alone piling even more on top.

It's not worth getting in debt over your wedding. I spent about £3k all up. 30 guests - just the ones that matter. The day goes so quick and you're so stressed/hyped up, I found the first half i didn't really enjoy/relax. By the evening, it was great. It was also good to wake up next morning and think that I didn't owe a penny to anyone.
  • It's because in total you will owe more than half your annual income - Banks are being more careful about who they lend to now - it's no wonder as they were slated for lending irresponsibly a few years back...
We've spent decades teaching people about their rights, but nothing about their responsibilities.
