Hi,
could anyone tell me if there is a way of telling if you are on CSA1 or CSA2 without phoning them up and asking. Really dont like speaking to them unless I really have to :rotfl: I realise it depends on if the claim was made before or after 2003 but want to know for sure as there was a period where i was a naughy boy and didnt pay, now i do pay wondered which system i was on.
Thanks

If you are on CS2 it will be a traight 15% of your pay for 1 child , 20% of your pay for a 2nd child etc, so suppose question is when assessment was late performed, do these % stack up with your income at the time?
If not you may be on CS1, where you need to maye ask in writing for a copy of the last assessment CSA made on your case, as CS1 will incorporate your housing costs, an element for council tax and any partner or children you may be living with?
If you are unsure write a request to your CSA Office, and make sure you keep a copy of your letter, send it recorded delivery and print off signature barcode as proof they received it, or you could always ask for Data Protection File via template on NACSA website, this will cost £10, but should include all assessments/communication etc CSA have in relation to your case. This will reveal which system you are on, and maybe a lot more - they usually do lol0 -
Up to a point, you can tell by the reference number for the case. However, if you've had an old rules case which has since been converted to new rules, it's impossible to tell. A conversion would happen either when a new claim was opened by a different PWC under new rules (the old rules case gets converted when the new assessment is done) or possibly if the PWC in the old rules case closed it then opened it again after more than 3 weeks.
If you post the telephone number you are given to call about the case, I might be able to tell from that.0
