    a full & final settlement almost certainly wont work in the OP's situation.
    as the debts are being repaid noone is going to settle for anything less than the full amount...why would they...if they did everyone would just ask for a F&F.
    for F&F to work you would normally have stopped paying the contracted amount, they would have defaulted your account, the default would probably be a year or two old, the debts would have been sold on to a DCA
    etc etc.

    Even if a full and final settlement were possible I don't think I'd want to do it unless it was a real last resort.

    My husband has applied for an M&S card earlier. If he's accepted he's going to balance transfer as much as possible (3.9% life of the balance). I'll pay off as much of the remaining debt as possible starting with the highest APRs first. Then we'll make a real effort and try to pay at least £1000 a month (hopefully more when we get used to money saving) off the remaining debt.

    I will keep you all posted with our progress if you're interested. Fingers crossed we can clear the credit cards by next christmas and then we can start working on the loan.
