my eye bags (hereditary) are getting out of control and i look tired all the time. Nothing helps because they are fat pockets.
Has anyone on here had eyebag surgery? how much did it cost? what was it like afterwards? any problems?

Not sure if this will apply to non-sight restoring cosmetic surgery, but it might be worth a try...
Some of the big names in lazer eye surgery sell 'last minute' appointments on ebay. My friend got her eyes lazered for about 1/3 of the clinics usual going rate... Maybe other places use a similar system for cosmetic surgery? Of course, with the usual warnings about double checking competency of surgeon etc...April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200 -
I've had an upper blepharoplasty, but not lower lids. If you want to know any details drop me a line...

Surgical procedure to lift drooping skin on upper eyelids and remove under-eye bags.
Timings Surgery takes around 2 hours.
Should last for years, although normal ageing continues.
Cost Upper lid £1,500-£2,500; lower lid £2,000-£3,000; both lids £3,000-£4,500.0 -

I thought it would be more ...mmmmm....I would love to have my bags done..I was born with them..just my luck!I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0 -
i inherited mine from my dad! and i got his legs too! there is no justice!
i would ideally like to get the uppers and the lower lids done but i can't afford both so i'll have to settle for the bags.
i wonder what the recovery is like though!0 -
a colleague of mine had the bags under her eyes done a few years back - it was certainly worth it - she looked great after. Such an improvement0

My mum had her lower eye bags removed three weeks ago. She had it done by Mr. Derek Mercer at The Nuffield Hospital at Guys London. He also works at The Sloane in Beckenham and Shirley Oaks in Croydon. He is the same surgeon who did her wonderful tummy tuck a few years back.
It cost her £4500 in total as even though she had it done with a local anesthetic an anesthetist had to be booked incase of complications. She also had to pay for a room even though she was only there a few hours and didn't need it. Apparantly it's usual to have this prodecure done under local, 90% of Mr. Mercers patients choose this option, I was amazed!
She felt fine afterwards and even drove part of the way home. The worst part for her was the antibiotic cream that she had to apply for three days afterwards as she couldn't see properly. The bruising wasn't too bad, it certainly wasn't black eyes or anything like that. Mainly a couple of bruises on the top of her cheekbones.
She looks fine now and the bags have gone, I thought that she looked fine before though.
