Equifax has my discharge date wrong!!

Just doing the clean up stuff and Equifax have put my discharge date as 29th July instead of 29th June!!
Do I do the same letter to them as to the lenders or do I have to go through the notice of correction palava? I tried it once and it didn't go very well!
Oh and, I have just seen that Royal Bank of Scotland did an Associate search of my credit report in January 2010.
What is that then? I did not have any debts/accounts or anything with them, my husband had a current account with them but it was in his name only. Why have they done that search? and are they allowed to do that? I'm a bit annoyed by it if I am honest!

did your husband applly for somethink with rbs that they search of your credit file as you are link to him has a associate
send a copy of your discharge by post or online to Equifaxsilver limit £1000 jjb limit £2500 -
thanks one for the road, no he didn't, this search was performed after he went BR, he went BR in December, they have marked his cc with them as default on the 10th Jan, and then the search was done on the 14th of Jan.
They had absolutely no need to search my files at all as far as I can see we had nothing joint at all ever. Interestingly they have also done a search of his files on the same day under the guise of additional address. Now why did they need to do that? they had our current address, and all the contact details.
I can't but help think they were up to something!
I will send copies of our discharge letters to Equifax, I'm not too impressed they have got it so wrong though!0
