i think this is due to a new company called card factory which sells decent cards very cheap . i hope the same goes for clintons as they are so overpriced. Before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)0

Hope we don't loose ours
We have a Clintons and a Birthdays in town, and a Card Factory that opened up within eyesight of them last Christmas.
I've never found anything I wanted in the Card Factory, but Birthdays always comes through for me.
I'll have to keep an eye on them and stock up if they shut down.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -

there is a thread on here somewhere for -cards for all occasions-. this looks to be a good place to buy. with a special intro offer it might be useful to you.0

our birthdays closed last year just after xmas. they quite often had the 5 for a pound offer on so it is worthwhile just keeping an eye on the shops that are still open. I got loadsof stuff when it did close as they reduced the xmas stuff right down to about 25% of the marked price...."Life may not always be the party you wish for, but whilst here you may aswell dance"!!!

I love Card Factory, always get really nice cards and usually the most expensive one is 99p.
We had a shop like that called Card Warehouse, they sold cheap for a while, then they put their prices up big time.0 -

Not got a 'Card Factory' but we have a 'Card Warehouse' it seems reasonably priced (for now is it?).
Anyway if you have a 'Card Warehouse' or 'Card Fair' and are about to have a big purchase in there they have vouchers on their website.

I usually hate all the cards in Clintons, apart from Clintons own brand birthday cards I saw in ours in a special rack by the door, they seems to be only decent ones in the shop and were very reasonably priced around a pound.
If I want a good premium card I usually go to WH Smith and am pleased with the stock they have.0 -
Clintons took over Birthdays last year - they have been shipping their rubbish stock to Birthdays, and vice versa. Card Factory cards are 'okay' - but have to admit, they're better value than Clintons.0
