  • Without a doubt the best ones are GHD. They are the ones all the salons use and will probably set you back about £80 - £90 but they are worth every penny!

I've owned 3 pairs previous to these, Revlon, Babyliss and a ceramic pair I bought in America. But once I had a go with my sisters GHD's I had to buy a set. They give an amazing result every time and it stays that way even in the damp weather we are having at the moment. My hair is quite wavy and frizzy but when I use these it looks beautiful and smooth and glossy. (Is it me or does that sound like an advert?!!)

Anyway, my advice is if you want a good hair day every day then go with the GHD's.

I took them to America with me and they didn't work out there because it's different voltage (inspite of being told by a GHD cust. services lady that they would) so I went out and bought a ceramic pair from a drug store but they aren't a patch on GHD. (Sad isn't it, I couldn't go 2 weeks with out them! Still at least I can take them with me next time!)

    Good luck!

Good things come to those who wait......... but the best will be taken by those who got there first ;)

I bought some GHS straightners and they are almost as good as the GHD ones but less than half price. http://www.ghs-direct.co.uk/
  • I have just bought some hair straightners and they are fab, I wanted GHD - but would pay the prices - anyway I found some easliy as good (if not better !) from https://www.hairstuffdirect.co.uk. They are on offer for £39.99 and have a 14 days money back guarantee (the only reason I got them), but mine won't be going back :D

Kodo without a doubt they are half the price of ghd and just as good. You can buy them on e-bay for about £50
  • Bought some from eBay last week for only £12.89!
Dead chuffed – they work really well- definitely as good as my friend’s GHD’s. No need to spend £80+
    Got them from: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/brownleaves
