Works Christmas dinner venue - looking for ideas ???

I'm looking for venue suggestions for my works 'Christmas dinner' in East Belfast/Hollywood/Bangor direction..for approx 40 people....Need ideas ASAP :eek:

Preferably NOT one of the big hotel functions.

Ideally a room to ourselves for the meal, but with entertainment available afterwards as part of a bigger group.

Have previously been to :-

The Clandyboye Lodge a few times where we had our own room for the meal , but were able to go to the 'disco' in the main function room afterwards.

The Point at Ballyhackamore.

The Crawfordsburn Inn.

I like Horatio Todds, but they cant accept bookings for more than 20 people.

The age range is 20 ish - 50 ish. Budget is between £25- £30 per head. Date 17th Dec.

what about approaching a local chinese/indian restaurant and asking them to let you have the whole place for the duration of the meal?

I can strongly recommend Beatrice Kennedy's on University Road.

They have a room upstairs which might just hold about 40 people.

We've been there for the last 2 Christmas dinners - and both times it has been fantastic. They have a good menu and everything is made to order - a million miles from the school dinner type meals you get everywhere else. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

We plan to book it again this year.
