Aww - thanks guys.
Actually my friends (a married couple - the guy's father shared an office in our town with my dad) survived - but we didn't hear from them to know they were OK for AGES because all the communications systems crashed out. And d'you know how they survived? The bloke forgot his keys, so they had to go back up to their flat to get them and were therefore running ten minutes later than normal. Otherwise, they would normally have been in one of the elevators at the time the first plane hit. Simple as that. Mad.
Thanks for the treats! But I've lost my appetite. Jasper's farts are OVERWHELMING this evening (he has spent the day with his dog-sitter, so heaven knows what she's been feeding him...).
I'm thinking of re-naming him "Fartacus".

Amazing... something as simple as forgetting your keys and being late can save your life. Something that would probably have irked him at the time too, i bet. We never know what's round the corner, i try to make the best of every day for that very reason.
Maybe you need to give strict instructions as to what the Jasper sitter can feed him!.
Anyway, i'm signing off now, Good night. Geebz - you're 100% correct. Just before the first tower fell (which was the second one to be hit), those evacuating went either left or right. When the tower collapsed, all those who had gone left died, but all who'd turned right survived. It's so arbitrary - live for the now, and appreciate the life you have.
Good night all - sweet dreams. Peace. x

P.S. We got the invoice for our car exhaust troubles - £115, including VAT. PHEW... thought it was going to be about twice that!
Have a great, Troll-free, week! x0
