no asda and tesco will take vouchers even if you havent bought the product.0

It really depends on the shop assistant you get. There are yards of posts on here relating to this. Basically, legally you should buy the product. Then the shop has to take them. Many, many stores will take them anyway because they know they will get their money back from the retailer. However they are not obliged to. If a store is an own brand coupon it depends. If they take them and you have not bought the product then they are doing themselves out of money.
Always go to a young, studenty cashier. Be pleasant, make conversation and then ask if you could use any of your coupons. They nearly always take them.
If you are refused don't make a fuss, remember you have no legal right unless you bought the goods.
Hope that helps.0 -
Yes, basically voucher acceptance by both Tescos and Asdas is .........
A BONUS BUT NOT AN AUTOMATIC RIGHT. I think that for every voucher I use without purchasing the item, there is another customer buying the item without a voucher so swings and roundabouts really. If they refuse, I just keep them for next time.
Morrisons I believe will not accept vouchers without buying the item
