hi can anyone advise please? I was made bankcrupt in 2007 and dischrged in 2008. I have held a barclaycard with a horrendous interest rate since then (29.6) and have been happily paying it off in full every month if I used it at all. Alas, my car went wrong in June and daughter got married etc etc- now its up to £1600 and it will take ages for me to clear. What are my chances of being accepted by another card company and any suggestions? i dont want to makemy credit rating worse by getting a refusal but I dont want to give the banks my money- they had enough of that in the past!! Thanks

Tbh there isn't a great deal you can do, any credit card is going to be a high interest rate, some may be even higher than what you are paying.
You will just need to budget and pay it off as soon as you can, and then see about savings so you don't get into this situation again!0
