Well I will have when my DD for the min payment goes through and the cheque for the balance clears:D
It was HSBC on 0% for 9 months...I'm actually only at 8 months I think, but I thought it would be a bit of a boost to have my next statement saying zero:D
Luckily, I've been sensible and put the money aside each month to make sure I had enough to pay it off, but I have to say that writing a cheque out for £2196 was both exilerating and concerning......:o
exilerating......I have the money to pay this debt off.......then it's gone...wahoo:D
concerning......!!!!, that's alot of money!
I had been in the habit of shifting from one card to another...but I finally decided that I'd rather clear the bloody things altogether....and probably just in time....
Work are having a 'major service review' and no doubt my job will be affected somewhere along the line...maybe for the better...or not...who knows....but the less debt I have at the time..the better:D

Good for you, Chris. An excellent example of DFW-ness! I paid mine of earlier this week and I feel all smug and virtuous now! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160

congrats on clearing a debt :j0 -
DD for the min payment was due to come out of my account 2/10/06, and I sent off a cheque for the rest of the balance to clear the card.....doh!
Now of course the cheque has cleared before this date so the dd for the original minimum payment isn't going to be collected......now have a balance of £67 on the card..
Annoyed with myself for not waiting and leaving the £2k plus in my account for longer:mad:
Silly girl........serves me right for being too eager to pay something off:rolleyes:0 -

Good for you on clearing the card. I know it's a good feeling to have one less debt to worry about. I just (last week) received a letter from Virgin CC telling me they were upping my rate by about 10%. It's a good job I'd cleared it about a week earlier when the 0% offer ended!0
