Need help!
Basically, my daughter starts school next week, but only goes from 9 till 11.30. She will be 4 in October and only just missed the cut, so will have to wait a whole year now before full time school.
For each day we have enlisted family to have her after her school day finishes, unfortunately my mother in law has let us down for the Monday/Tuesday.
We may be able to fill the Tuesday, but we are at a loss as to the Monday.
What options do we have. Nurseries are far too expensive we are finding, at about £35 a day.
I dont know enough about Childminders or costings on them at all.
What can I do?

Could you contact your local council? Ours have information about all childcare provisions in our area, they emailed me a list of all nurseries, registered childminders and after school clubs.August GC 10th - 10th : £200 / £70.61
NSD : 2/80 -
depending on local rates childminders are usually a little cheaper than nurseries. You will find that cms will charge for a full day as they will not find anyone else to fill the 2 hour slot.
you could try this link to find cms in your area

some councils & local urserys offer up to 24hrs a week free childcare run through a goverment scheme, you may be able to claim some back from tax credits to fund the 2 day's or see if you can claim vouchers which will save on tax & NI0
