Help needed for Carrot cake

Hi I am making an attempt to make my first carrot cake I have nearly all the ingredients I need but for the sugar it says 350g of Caster sugar I have Granulated sugar,dark brown Muscovado sugar and Demerara sugar can I use any of these as a substitute. Thanks

Hi viv,
Granulated sugar will be fine.......it's slightly coarser than granulated sugar but I've used it in the past with no problems.
Alternatively you can whizz granulated sugar in a blender to make it finer if you'd prefer.

You can always pound granulated sugar in a pestle and mortar, if you're worried. I've always used granulated where recipes ask for caster sugar though.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
