Tesco pricing labels...

Are they allowed to display adverts like this where they have the money saved labelled up far bigger than the actual price?

Very misleading if that is the case.

If someone is not capable of reading should they be trusted to do the shopping at all?

This is not a Grabbit - OP if you PM one of the BG's they can move this thread to a more suitable board.
    Gone ... or have I?
  • They have been doing this for some time - even I got caught out by it once, and I personally think I am quite savvy!
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
  • its all well and good saying people should be able to read etc
but should shopper have to scrutinize every label?
do elderly people stand and read every bit of a label?
    harrassed mothers with children?

i think its jolly bad practise
    it isnt needed
    and they should stop it

I agree. Tesco is obviously trying to trick people, and that is illegal.

In other countries competitors would take Tesco to court - but I guess it is not that easy in England? BTW, do they also do that in Scotland?
  • :oi have to say i dont know
    i never shop in store
    ((((online shopping))))

i shall be asking those who do though
i do think its supposed to be a bit misleading
  • I think the most important information should be the biggest - which is the price you pay.
