Can you phone the provider and see if they can reverse it? If not I guess you'll just have to use it... such a pain isn't it?! Make sure to cancel the direct debit once you've got it sorted!Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... i think i will just have to use it, i did originally cancel the direct debt but because i still had my contract one set up (last payment last month) i supose they used that to get it

Surely they can't do that.
I would give them a ring and ask why its been taken out. They can easily give you the money back and they may even let you keep the £10 on the phone0 -

If you originally cancelled your direct debit the guarantee should cover you. Get on to your bank and ask for it back. I refer you to the relevant part of the guarantee
"If an error is made by the organisation or your bank or building society, you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund from your branch of the amount paid.
If any payment is made in error, you should contact your bank or building society who are responsible for giving you a full and immediate refund - even if the original error was made by the organisation collecting the payment.""The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

yes but optimist, they took it using my contract d/d that was still active, i think there is now way around it, just my silly fault again :rotfl:0 -
You say you canceled the DD therefore it should have been refused by the bank Get on to the bank. If you dont ask you dont get!"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Doesn't matter Posting, the dd guarantee means if you ring your bank and tell them to get the money back they *have* to do it. No choice. You can do that for any DD, but obviously if it wasn't an error the company will come after you! In this case you should be fine, give them a callDFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls
