But they are so po-faced about it. 'We charge what our professional valuers value it at, and we don't negotiate.' That's what I was told. If they are like that when they try to sell you something, they must be truly awful once you move in.
That's the sort of brave face an employee puts on when it's not at their personal discretion to drop the price, but something that needs to be decided by committee.
It's true, you're not likely to have any success with direct negotiations, but if the property is failing to sell, and enough people let them know that they would be willing to pay around £xyz for it, there's a distinct possibility that it will be re-listed around £xyz in the near future.
Unfortunately for prospective buyers, it's more likely that their valuers know their business and it will indeed sell at the asking price.0 -

They don't. Would you like me to try and find the details and scan them in for your approval!? We get a breakdown of the service charge made, what it's been spent on, the surplus etc.
We get to read the accounts. It's quite clear how many pay in.
As I've said right through this thread, individual schemes differ slightly. So you need to do your research.
Won't be bothering responding to you any further anyway, it's pretty pointless.0 -

Do you suppose that if all but one person in the entire street were on benefits, then that one person would have to bear the cost of maintenance for the whole street?Won't be bothering responding to you any further anyway, it's pretty pointless.0 -
