How much have/will you spend today Sat 23/9?

Good morning DFWs :hello:

Strange day down here, sunny one minute, overcast the next! Deciding what to wear this morning won't be fun I tell you!

Had a really good night out last night with my work collegues. I was prepared to spend £20-£30 but in the end I spent £6.60 :D When it came down to it, I just didn't want to spend any more. Am I turning into Scroodge? I was happy to carry on with soda water and as far as my colleagues knew, I had tummy ache. OK, a little white lie never hurt anyone, right?

Today. we'll be spending some money from the joint account as we need some milk and bits etc which I don't count for my personal spending. I will be taking two tops back that I got a few weeks ago and are still unworn, therefore I don't need them ;) They were £4 each from Primark and I may exchange them, will see. Aiming for no more than £20 spend today but will come back and update.

Have a great day everyone and keep it low.

  • Good Morning Moozie and all :D

Well done on the £6.60 night out Moozie :j I know just what you mean about just not wanting to spend more than necessary. When I came home from work yesterday, I was so tempted to order a take away, I had enough left in my budget to do that but when I thought about the cost and what a dent it would make, I just didn't want to ! I too worry about becoming a bit of a scrooge but I don't care really.......I like this feeling of control over my finances too much :D

I didn't get chance to post on yesterdays thread, but I had set myself a weekly spend from Friday to Friday of £17 and I had £10 left yesterday :T :T

I will probably spend about £5 today as I may pop into town if I get time to look for some furniture.....the bus fare will be £3.00, which I think is shocking as it's only 2 miles away and I may treat myself to something nice with the £2.00 :D
  • Shouldnt spend anything today as going into work in a hour's time and shouldnt be finishing at 9pm... anything that I spend today will be paid out of petty cash

Updated: I spent £4.06 in little tesco on a load of old pap... but I enjoyed every mouthful!!!
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
  • Hi all, hoping for another no spend today:D

Got my nephew's birthday party later - he was 2 yesterday, so that won't cost anything cos already got his card and present (card £0.79 and dvd through pigsback so aswell as being reduced got points back too!!!):j

Don't know if OH will want me to go out tonight but think he'll treat me anyway if so. Will let you know later if I do have to spend owt:rolleyes:

Ooh, I haven't posted on these threads for ages... guilty conscience perhaps?! :naughty::o :rotfl:

Today is hopefully a no-spender for me :T

My parents have invited me to go out with them this afternoon... walk along the pier, have an ice cream, that kinda thing.... not too expensive and they might even buy the ice cream for me ;):D

Other than that, a thrilling day on the net looking for jobs and figuring out how to apply for JSA   .... not much fun but thankfully free!

Have a good day everyone :)

  • i'm hoping for a no spend day today. spent a wee bit more than planned yesterday but still less than a tenner and still within my limits so i'm happy. i blame my boss who took me out for drinks after work.

i'm going down to the gym for a workout this afternoon, and before that i'll be doing some cleaning. this evening  i don't have any plans, but that doesnt mean to say noone will try and drag me out again!

good luck with your wee spends!

Hi all! No spending here today, I'm getting on with my holiday laundry and there's tons of it, but at least the sun is shining - sort of - so I can dry it for free :)

:hello: Hi Moozie & everyone else,

I'm hoping for a no spend day today. Have to go to the airport to pick up my parents but they'll give us money for petrol & parking so won't cost anything.
Also am hoping to put off weekly shop till tomorrow and my warning light hasn't come on on my car yet so may get a few more days out of it before I need to fill up ( put 25.00 in on JULY 16th and nothing since:D )
    Keep Calm:cool: Smile :D , Enjoy!

  • Spent £11.60 on our weekly shop, and that's it for today. That money also came out of H's spendy buttons so technically I've spent nought ;)
