Oh now we have GOT TO do something with that! We really really can't ignore that! Especially not me, everyone knows all the most ruthless pirates are always Cornishmen!

Can we hijack the Scillonian? Aww go on! Let's hijack the Scillonian on September 19th! :j

For anyone who doesn't have a clue what I'm talking about, the Scillonian is the ferry which sails from Penzance, where all the best/worst pirates obviously come from, to the Scilly Islands. As such, it is probably the only boat in Penzance harbour on any given day big enough to be hijacked by the entire NSD crew and having... (and this is the important bit)... an onboard PUB.

Sounds like a good idea, Hannah, we'll put it to the committee:D:D

    Any thoughts lovely NSD gang?

  • Thank you Solventsoon for such a warm welcome. As a long time lurker it's so nice to be accepted as part of such a lovely group. Well, day one has gone very well today. It's my ninth wedding anniversary (had already bought the card) and we've never really gone in for extravagent presents etc so so far no money spent. I'm going straight home and then to the gym (I know... not very anniversary orientated, but come on... no one REALLY celebrates nine years do they?) but it's free (well... very cheap membership) and I figure I may as well be at the gym spending no money rather than at home watching telly and spending no money. I just wish I could curb my snacking as easily as I seem to be able to curb my spending. I am at work and we've just had champagne and nibbles to wish one of the Partners well who is leaving for pastures new. I mean I KNOW I'm going to the gym so why scoff just because it's there... it really is a very annoying trait I have, but I seem to think because it's free I NEED to take it. I am therefore going to try and make my NSD - no spend days AND no snack days! Anyway... at least no money has been spent! Thanks for listening... Lucy-Lu

Solvent, sounds like you are going to have your hands full with all the new people signing up - never mind, the more the merrier, and if they come on our outings with us I am sure the Tardis can expand to take the extra bodies!

Have a family birthday at the end of September, a gardening enthusiast. I picked up some bargain plant kits from Home Bargains today, plus some beauty products (face mask, body butter, bath stuff etc) which I have put into 2 very nice boxes (already bought previously) - a gardening box and an after-gardening box. I have wrapped them and OH will deliver them when he goes to pick up DS from there later this week - so no postage costs! Result - fab prezzy for under a tenner. So no birthday spending in Spetember so no excuse not to hit my target - that waltzing wildebeest will be mine.....
Think I could do, Nargle, but definitely the more the merrier on here..

Like the birthday present, very MSE

I'm determined to find you a waltzing wildebeest now:D:D
