World for Less

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone know who World for Less are?
A transaction has appeared on my credit card statement for $147.90 (USD) which works out at £80.69. I can't recall buying anything in dollars and can't remember using a company with that name.
My credit card company said all they know at the moment is that it is a Direct Marketing Company. They are sending dispute forms out and will investigate further when they get them back.
I'm just wondering if anyone can jog my memory in case it is something I have bought and completely forgotten about!

I have had a quick look on Google - putting "world for less" and then adding direct marketing into the search and it gives a few possibilities.
My time is limited now (I am on my way to bed!!). But it would be well worth you having a look on Google with this and any other info that you may know and something may jog your memory.
Hope to have been of some help.

If you're not 100% sure of the transaction then dispute it. It's then up to the retailer to prove that the transaction is genuine (ie to produce the signed slip, or details of the date and time of phone or internet transaction). There won't be any repercussions against you if you dispute the transaction but it then turns out to be genuine.0

Hi, this is definitely fraud. The same company took money from my Switch card just over a year ago. I reported it and was eventually reimbursed by my bank. But they never actually told me whether they found anything out about this company or whether charges were brought against them. I seem to remember checking Companies House website and finding that there was a company of that name with a registered office in London somewhere.
Sorry I can't be more help - but at least you can be fairly sure that you haven't been spending money and then forgetting all about it!

I noticed a £444 charge on my card yesterday - IBIS hotel in the south of france. (I wish it was me).
Disputed it without an issue
