What else can I do with some chicken and puff pastry?

Options
I'm making chicken en croute tomorrow thanks to a recipe from someone at work but have extra puff pastry and extra chicken so need ideas and a wee bit of help.

I'm thinking of trying to make a chicken pie.
What else do would I need for these, (had a look in mega index already - do I just add some campbells mushroom soup - anything else?)
Also, can I make them up and freeze them so they can be cooked later. The chicken will be cooked already?

What else could I make?

It's got to be quite easy as I'm still learning - never made a pie or en croute before! :rotfl:

God, it'll all go wrong!:o

I would cook veg, carrots, onions, mushrooms, butternut squash, or whatever, cook the chicken, thicken the liquid you cook it in by adding cornflour mixed with water, stock, herbs, salt and pepper, paprika if you want to give it a bit of a kick put it in a dish and cover with puff pastry. then cook!
  • I found this recipe on google.

You could also maybe make a chicken curry and roll out the puff pastry, cut into strips, grate some parmesan on them and twist them a little - cheese twirly sticks!
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

what about individual mini open tartlets ?
cut pastry into squares, then score a smaller square inside but dont cut right through the pastry

    bake for a few mins

then top with your creamy chicken mixture ( chicken and a white sauce with whatever veggies you like or using the condensed soup)
and bake again til pastry is browned and filling bubbling :)

chicken & asparagus or brocolli is nice done in this way
