Card terminal double charged in peacocks shopped in july *warning*

Sorry it's not really a grabbit but wanted as many people to see as possible.

Some Peacocks stores card terminals double charged at the end of July. I shopped in my local (Waterlooville) and was charged on my statement a week later. Whilst checking our statement we noticed the same amount had gone through for the same date some 2/3 weeks later.

I contacted the store and the manager said they were aware of it and it happened in other stores but she didn't say which ones.

If you shopped in Peacocks at the end of July (mine shopping was done on 21st July) please double check your bank statement if you paid by card.

If you have been double charged take the proof i.e your bank statement to the store and they will refund. I am sure lots of people won't realise

thats weird because i noticed when i walked past one of the nottingham stores yesterday that it said on the door cash only tills are down!

Thanks for the heads up - I shopped in Lymington so will check my statement when it gets here
