Hello eveyone....
Hope all are well.....I am new to the site but I wanted to see if anyone else knew about a Golden Globe holidays win!! I received a phone call today saying they had selected my phone number to win £1000 holiday vouchers which I could use world wide....they also asked for my 16 digit card number...but explictly stated that they were not charging me as they needed the security code on the back of the card which they didnt want!!
Just wondering if any1 had any experience of this....cheers

These people, who use various other company names - including one that seems an attempt to confuse people that they are the familiar Thomsons - are really undesirable. I gather from other forums that they phone from India, despite their front of a Harley St address, and their callers generally use bogus English names.
They have somehow got hold of the details of my elderly mother, found out out about her holiday fantasies, under some pretext sold her holiday vouchers she could never conceivably use - she is housebound and mentally frail - and have been harrassing her to give her credit card details, with persistent phone calls, and now also by mail. ( She cannot resist their bullying but fortunately all her cards have expired, so she keeps giving them them card details that don't work!) Their response to family requests to leave her alone is to hang up if anyone else answers, or if she tries to get anyone else to speak to them.
In other forums I have seen them respond to criticisms like mine by alleging they are made by competitors. If you are in any doubt, google them and check out the disclaimer on their website - Wow! It made me laugh, anyway. But the harrassment of my mother is not funny. At times it is so bad she takes her phone off the hook as a result, and this prevents family calls to check on her welfare.
BT seem to be aware of the scam, by the way, but told me that they cannot block the calls, as they could if they originated from UK.0 -
The vouchers are in small amounts - such as £100 off this particular holiday - £50 off car hire etc.. not one chunk of £1000 that can be taken off any holiday. Not really comping any more as too ill - but hoping to win £1000+ in 2017 in cash prizes - watch this space!0
