Nail Art Set

Hi

My two girls like to have their nails done and have been to get nail art on them a couple of times.

Im thinking of investing in a kit so we can try and do it at home and hoped someone might have a recommendation? Don't want to pay more than £25 if poss.

Thanks C

  • Do you mean just the gems and little flowers or the whole acrylic nail set?

    Hi

No not acrylics just the nail vanish where you can paint little patterns on their nails. Gems & flowers would be good too.

    :-)
  • Oh okies,
I've just been into Poundland and they have a lil gem kit in there that would work really well. It's got the little gems and flowers that you just stick on with clear varnish. Also, if you get a very thin-bristled brush from an artshop, drip it on varnish remover and a drop of varnish you can then use that to do the nail art. Get some of the French-manicure tape to help with sharp lines :)

ebay - yo can get sets of the special nail art pens, they have a thin silver nib on end and a long thin brush as well, and they come in LOADS of colours!

    for example

you can get smaller sets that are cheaper, enjoy x
  • Don't get nail art pens...i have had them and they are utter rubbish.

I can't post links, but type Art Deco Nails into google and look at theyre products.

It basically is a metal disc with images on. You can buy loads with different discs with lots of images on.

You paint some polish over the desired image, scrape the excess polish off using the scraper, then roll (lightly) the stamper over the image, the roll it over the nail to transfer the image.

This is picture of my nails after using the nail art kit (ignore my horrible rash on my fingers) Sorry about the size of the picture.

It really is a great set, plus you can purcahse extra plates for Christmas, Birthdays.

Definatly has saved me money, as it costs a fortune to have them professionally done.
  • HelloKittyGal, that's a great idea! I love watching the infomercial for it hee hee.
Threebabes, have a look at this link, it shows you how to use if and might help see if it's any good for what you wanted.
I think I might get on now lol

HelloKittyGal, I was going to recommend similar, but the Konad version as that is all I had seen at the time. The results look amazing!

  • The Konad and Art Deco are basically the same.

I had the Konad set 2 years ago but couldn't find the extra plates cheap enough on the internet to buy.

It was only when i saw the stand for the Art Deco in a shopping centre that i purchased more.

They really are fab, can be a little difficult to get used to using at first, but the results are worth it.
