:hello: I'd like to join if I can? I've got a few things I could ebay... have been putting off listing them for ages and could generally do with making myself think a little more frugally again :D

Can I just clarify what counts and what doesn't- as I haven't done this before..

eg At lunch time today I bought 3 packs of salmon in M&S (only needed 1 for lunch) They would have been £2.99 each but were on offer 3 for £5. Full price would have been £8.97 so I 'saved' £3.97 (and have 2 more lovely lunches to look forward to :)) Would I be able to add £3.97 to my total (in theory, I know it's August so wouldn't count for September challenge :D)

    Thanks

If it was something you were going to buy anyway and got it at a discounted rate then you can count the difference. I don't include savings but from what I read from others your saving would count. But say you bought a top for £10 in a sale which really cost £100 but you wouldn't have bought it for the £100 then you couldn't include the saving. does that make sense??

I think so... If I wouldn't have bought it at full price then it's not really a 'saving'- it's £10 I've spent that I wouldn't have. But if I went to buy that £100 top (as if! :p) and it was unexpectedly reduced to £10 the I have saved £90. Am I right?
