            slow cookers are great. They were a life saver when I was teaching 2 nights a week.

            That's another thing I must learn how to use. I've had one for about 18 months now - a lovely big Ainsley Harriot one, but it's just gathering dust on top of my wardrobe.

            I love my slow cooker too, it's one of my most used gadgets.
 DD2 was having a hormonal strop so I didn't trust her near a knife or cooker to make dinner....so muggins did it (but it was tasty).
 Apples are cooked and dripping for the apple jelly so the house smells lovely.

 Suzy - I *so* have the same "supermarkets eat my cash" problem. It is hard asd you can avoid going into clothes shops, for example, but you have to buy food Debt at highest: £8k.
