    haven't heard from ex so guess he has gone to play cricket rather than watch and take Charlie so I'm off out to see my boy :D

    Then off to get some schnapps to start making my blackberry grog :D

    Just had a scary moment - went over on my ankle on my weak side because I stood awkwardly on the edge of the door mat. Years since my ankle has given out that easily. Luckily it was an enclosed space so I just hit the wall rather than the floor. Unlucky in that the edge of the wall has given me a nice big bruise on the underside of my arm and I've jarred my back. Pfft. Shows I'll never get back in heels again even all these years later :(

    Am thinking of going to Gatwick night before as may be able to grab a bed from a fellow DFW.

    I love red for kitchens Buns....my kitchen is very dark with high glossy black tiles (from waist high up) and dark wood units and cladding....it's really striking but with black work surfaces too it can be really dull in the winter. I brought some red and white gingham and some nice spotty fabric the other day to make table cloths/oven gloves etc with to cheer it up a bit.....will get a nice red kettle and toaster when I need to replace what I've got too. I'm thinking red, chrome and black might look quite "american diner" :D

    Just had a lovely walk to get some preserving sugar and chillis, came back via a nice pub over looking the harbour and sat with DH having a drink before wandering back over the beach....lovely. It's only 3 miles but since having that sinus infection it really takes it out of me...need to build my stamina back up.
