Gameplay have been around for a good few years now. Their prices for new games aren't as competetive as they used to be, but to be fair, there weren't the amount of on-line retailers there are nowadays. I still show orders from 2002 on my account, but I was buying from them before that.
I still remember getting their monthly magazine through the post
Still best to check out the price comparison sites if you want to buy new. Kane & Lynch 2 can be had from Play.com for £4 cheaper.Dave. :wave:0 -
I don't buy new games anyway, just showing that they did not just sell pre-owned games but if I were to buy new I'd shop around anyway.:AWhatever it is - I didn't do it!:A0

With some of the best gaming releases coming very soon to all consoles I wanted to know is this going to fuel another PRICE WAR?(between supermarket’s and entertainment stores)
I managed to buy modern warfare 2 for the PS3 as soon as it came out for a staggering £25 thanks to this website and its eagle eyed bargain hunters. I made the purchase from Sainsbury’s this was an amazing buy as I still play it now and every time I went to the shops I seen it being sold for 39.99 some shops were charging even more.
With the new releases Fifa 11, Call of duty (Black ops), Medal of hour and the unmistakeable Grand tourismo 5 (which has been pending release for way over a year now). I was hoping to find out if anyone knew where these games would be sold for cheap (new of course) or if anyone knew if there is going to be a price war? As I’m sure you know buying all of them at full price would cost about 200 quid;
Please let me know, Thanks B.R.P0 -
I'm gonna assume that there will be tv/newspaper ads on Thursday night for FIFA 11's release?! Coincidence that I'm off on Friday isn't it?!
Sainsburys sold COD:MW for £25 but had sold out by the time I got there but my mate works at Comet and he told me that they price match and that the other store doesn't necessarily have to have it in stock (might just be for him because he works there but its worth a try if not!)English by birth. GEORDIE by the grace of God.0 -
Cheers that not a bad shout mate. Will see what happens I'm working Friday but sending my misses home all week end! coincidence?!:rotfl:0

Gamestation will usually match or beat any other retailer within walking distance.
They're now my favoured retailer for new and pre-owned games as I play them off against the likes of CEX.
Prime example being when I traded in Fifa 10 last week. Gamestation only offered my £5 credit, but I could get £12 from CEX, which is just a minute's walk from the Gamestation store in Watford.
They promptly gave me £13 credit!
If Tesco/Asda launch Fifa 11 at £24.99 like last year, I'll be ensuring Gamestation drop their price to match.0 -
Did not know gamestation did that! Sound mate worth a go! Didn't they ask you to prove it?0

Here's the low down on what I found:
£29.75 Amazon
£29.75 Asda
for the above you will be waiting so for you lot that just can wait:
Argos: 34.99 and if the misses wants to buy something and you spend £50 you will get a £5 voucher!!!! (don't forget to make her buy the additional iteam (£15) and say I will collect it, you won't just get a £5 voucher you might get a little something extra hahahaha)0 -
In Sainsburys it's £25 when you spend £30 - what are the chances of Gamestation beating the £25 even though it's a promotional offer in Sainsbury?0
