Hi guys, need some inspiration for tea, a bit late in the day I know.
I have some chicken breasts in the fridge
eggs
potatoes
pasta
rice
celery
garlic
red and yellow peppers
lentils
frozen veg
2 carrots
possibly other things but all of the above is going from memory, I dont have any tomatoes or tinned tomatoes.
Any suggestions what I can make without going to buy something else?

Perhaps stuffed peppers with the rice and the chicken and garlic plus any onions etc you have lurking and lots of herbs?

Chicken and veg risotto. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

Hi 'tiff',
Ok I've tried to think of ways to use up everything you have to make meals for the next few days without you having to buy anything new....
You could make a soup with the lentils, carrot, onion, celery & garlic?
Egg-fried rice with stirfried chicken & veg?
Potato bake using potato & onion & garlic (you would need cream & milk though) or just cut into wedges & bake with herbs or chilli...
Originally I couldn't think of what to do with the pasta as you don't have tomatoes & presume no shop-bought sauce, but you could add it to the soup to fill it out a little...?Ladymac0 -
Those are brilliant ideas thanks, all I could come up with was chicken breasts dipped in cajun spice with potato wedges and I think I have some corn for corn fritters. I like the egg fried rice with chicken and veg idea too. Thanks, it just started chucking down with rain and I couldnt be bothered to go out and get something else!“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

some sort of frittata/omelette type thing ? Boil the potatoes then slice them. Fry the peppers in the pan, (and some onion too, if you have any, or any other suitable veg for that matter) then throw in the sliced potatoes. Beat some eggs, pour over the top and then leave it to cook through. Or you could finish off under the grill for a nice brown topping...0

or you could thicken the soup up and use some of it as sauce over the pasta?0
