  • Though if the sight of it stops someone from doing something they shouldn't you will have a good bargain. Depends on where you live. Sticking one pointing down along the back of your house is a good idea. Most hidden entry points are situated at the rear of houses and once their you have all the time in the world to get in.

Unless you are disturbed that is. They take a risk, even if you can not identify them there is a chance that they will get caught later wearing the same stuff and so will be easy to identify.

The solution, get something like this put it up high and have it facing down along the entry points. Not as some people do facing the shed, whats in the shed? Crown Jewels?

To protect a shed get one bucket and one bag of cement, get a long chain. Mix the cement in the bucket to fill it, dangle part of the chain into it. Once set you have a heavy wieght with a chain you can lock stuff to, works better than a camera as no crook wants to make a lot of noise in the middle of the night.

Poor picture, poor sound, not too good in the dark?
Enlighten those that may be considering it.
  • Should be of some value as a visual deterrent, assuming that I can find a Lloyds Pharmacy with any in stock

Please note that you also have to have signs warning people that the property is under CCTV surveillance, or the police would not be able to use it in evidence (according to our local police when we showed them footage of a lad stealing our daughter's bicycle, and were told that we were breaking the law by filming the thief without him being notified that he was being filmed) ;)
Thanks to all who post constructively.

i had the same issue, i have four cameras covering my house and garage and have them linked up to ta dvd recorder. its more to do with that when our kids ar ein the street playing and my wife is in the kitchen she can look at the tv to see if the kids are where they should be, same as in the back garden. but i was also told that if we ever did have a break in and they were caught on camera we could not use the film as evidence because we have no signs telling people they are monitored on my premises. Thats why i love britain.... always lookingr after the bad side of society first.
Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!
  • How INFURIATING, so we spend money to protect houses which WE pay a mortgage for by earning an honest living and the so called law is on the side of the criminal??????????????????????????????????????????????
