I do not have adverse credit....quite the opposite in fact....My credit history is pretty damn good...no ccjs's no missed payments no arrears etc etc so it can't be adverse credit that has affected things
I do fit within the affordability criteria (or at least I am pretty sure I do)
I have been trading for 9 years (long enough I would have thought)
I am registered with the inland revenue and indeed for VAT (and fully paid up with both)
I have no adverse credit
The valuation was fine and it is a pretty standard property
My broker did mention something about this company having a 'changeover' of procedures to a fully computerised system and that unfortunately I got caught in the crossfire between computers and underwriting.... they did request something from my accountant and although they were happy with the content they would not accept it because he is not a 'chartered' accountant
This company is a part of RBS (I think!) and it's called platform mortgages
the rate they quoted me was not bad and it was fee free (although I do remember something about a lenders fee somewhere in the blurb)
Do you know of platform mortgages ? ......
I forgot to mention that I have a commercial mortgage on my premises and my mortgage is fully paid up with no arrears or late payments at all0 -

Well I am better informed now than I was...Dunno why I thought it was part of RBS....
Are platform any good as lenders then?
Why would my broker have chosen platform ?
Anyway thanks for the info0 -
