Hi,

I'm hoping for a little advice from far more knowledgable persons than myself :).

I recived this letter this morning from Fredrickson International Limited with my correct name and addrerss.
Dear Ms **

We have been instructed to collect the outstanding balance on the above account.

We have made tracing enquiries for confirmation of your current place of residence and information has been recieved confirming that your address details have changed to the address. ( I've been on the electrol for years at my current address!)

Please contact us immediatley on 0845 034 9711 quoting the above refrence.

Yours sincerely
There is NO other information as to what it is ,how much it is and where exactly it came from just their refrence number.. nothing else!

Many years ago ( Statued Barred now) I did run up some debt and rather foolishly ignored it ( I was a teenager at the time) but this letter says nothing of what this is about.

I certainly don't want to ring them as I've heard the horror stories about them ringing at all hours.

So what do I do.. ignore it as if anything it will already be statued barred or other?

Thanks

Max

* I've check my credit report on a regular basis for a few years and no defaults what so ever are on there anymore. *

Create a throwaway email account and get onto the website www.fredpay.com and register there with any details but use the reference number from the letter and the throwaway email address and then send the prove it email to them. They responded to my letter within 2 days when I did for one of their baseless claims.

Or you can send the prove it letter through royal mail if you want to spend money on a stamp and walk to the post box.

    Or ignore it....

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
