How much have/will you spend today Friday 22/9?

Good morning lovely DFWs :hello:

Gosh it's miserable down here today! This September is the oddest ever. Still, I feel positive and sooooooooooo glad the weekend is finally here.

It's been an expensive morning with one thing or another. Cards and donations to 3 colleagues that are leaving  (lucky sods :rotfl: ) left me £6.30 lighter! I can only hope my generocity is returned when my time comes (AMEN!) ;)

So it's the end of the challenge today and I am over the moon! :j I spent in total £10.90 (70p paper, 3.90 weight loss group and 6.30 today) which is well below the £20 target :A Happy happy happy is how I feel :j :j :j

Off out for a drink tonight with all those lucky sods so some money will be spent but it is Friday after all :D

Now, come on, let's be having the rest of you challengers fess up and be honest, we are all here to support each other as well as provide the virtual kick up the bum we all need from time to time :p

Have a lovely weekend.

  • Well I've just paid my eBay seller fees of £9.00 but I'm not intending to spend anything else today so I'm fairly happy. Plus I found £4 in my cycling jacket when I was clearing out my wardrobe so all in all not a bad day!

  • unfortunatly i'll have a spending day today.

£1 for a glittery headband, as part of my bday costume
£1 for the works halloween party, i'm organising so i suppose i should pay!
i also need to pick up a couple of bits from asda but i have just over five pounds in my purse and thats all i have to spend.

since my wages came in i'm taking 50 out for food and me. ten pounds per week with ten emergency fund for if i run out of food, so not including today my target for next week is less than ten pounds spent.
  • Good luck with your challenge Lyns. I managed to stick to my £10 "food top-up" fund this week by using the same principle- if it wasn't in my purse then the money wasn't there to spend.

  • Hi everyone

Well done all you who met the challenge.

I've had a dreadful week (and my first week too) tbh I feel really down atm. I got paid this week so should be yippe yadoo but nah. Commitments I already had (pre lbm) have been paid this week so my spending was

Flute Lessons £42.00 - every term - damn forgot those in soa
    Next £30.00 - in budget :D & account clear :j
    Petrol £30.34 - in budget :D
Microwave £34.99 - paid for from talktalk refund :p
    Hampers £74.00 - in budget :D
£2 Jar £2.00 - savings so pleased with this one ;)
    Slimming World £4.25 - in budget:D
    Hair £20.00 - in budget:D

Total Spend £237.58 most in budget, so I'm thinking should I include them. This is my first week and I wasn't sure, so thought I'd ask the oracle.

Now as far as I'm concerned I've spent £42.00 on flute lessons which I should have remembers and put in soa. The microwave money was already there (we got tt refund - crap service - but that's for another thread) and everything else was in budget.

I'm off now to get some bits from aldi so will update later.

    Thanks. Jx

  • hi everyone

well im having a no spend day today!.. well hope so. normally im given someones travel card to get home. if no one does, ill have to spend 1.50 which is all the money i have on me!

feel bad as yesterday AND the night before i had take aways (eeek!) BUT from the meal we had last night, it came to 13 quid and from the change of the 20, it went into savings AND there is enough of the meal left to have tonight!

its really grey and grotty here in croydon, its meant to be the same over the weekend but i have nothing planned except cleaning and hope i dont have to spend any money

    good luck everyone!
  • Hi everyone! :D

It pouring with rain here at the moment and i somehow doubt the 'sunny spells' promised for later!!

Even so, I have been out and about this morning and spent 75p - on some crisps. Thats it for today, and well within my £20 for the week.:D Well done to everyone, i reckon we all deserve a pat on the back!

I am off on hols tomorrow for a week so wont be around, but i will be thinking of you while i have some sun and sangria!!:rotfl:

  • A really expensive day today:

£48 hair cut and colour (but I haven't had it done for 6 months)
    £20 petrol (long journey later)
    £6 Home Bargains

The worst thing is, one week before pay day I've had to borrow money off my mum.

Hopefully that's it... if we go food shopping when I get to my boyfriends house later I think I might have to pretend I've forgotten my purse!!
