Gifts for Nursery Staff

Poogles
My eldest is leaving his private day care nursery next week to go to big school. He only started at this nursery 5 months ago when we moved house and the girls at the nurery have been fantastic and build up a very close relationship with him.
I don't want to buy individual gifts as, although he has a few favourites, they are all fantastic and I don't want to offend anyone (and can't afford individual gifts for them all)!
I have a back up plan of a large box of choccies but wondered if anyone had any more imaginitive ideas??!!

My little girl is also leaving next week and we are making loads of buns and spelling out Thank You **** ***** nursery by icing a letter onto each one. The staff have said they love having tins of biscuits, cakes and sweets in the staff room. I will buy a seperate gift for her keyworker.0

Don't know if this helps but i'm a nursery worker
when children bring in pressies we are so greatful
chocolates are always welcome in the setting, as they can be kept in the cupboard or fridge, used as an energy boost throughout the day

Thank you all for your ideas!
I'll be popping to Tesco or Thornton's to get some choccies (thanks for the tip) and I've also decided to buy a nice plant for the staff room and my son's favourite book for the nursery (a friend suggested this as it will mean they think of him whenever they read it!).
Just need to get me some tissues for his first day at school next week!0 -
we gave a bottle of wine to the main carer, and a big tin of roses for the rest of the staff.0
