I have just opened a pack of asda mincepies and someone has nicked one of the pies, the swines!
the pack was all sealed properly i have tried ringing the number on the back of the pack and the number is no longer in use.
I am just wondering if it is worth me taking them back to asda with travel etc, will they believe that 1 pie was missing if so what do you think they will do?
thanks

I'm pretty sure they will take them back if the're anything like my local asda. They wiil probably either give you a refund or swap for another pack.
If it's an asda's own brand product they may even give you double the refund, they did this for me once.
You have to ask yourself if it's worth the hassle and bother for 1 mince pie.something missing0 -
Take them back and because it is an asda product they will offer you a replacement or double your money back... opt for double your money back, explain how disappointed you were and that you have had to travel all the way back and it's put you off buying them again. you may just get a £10 gift card...0

If I were you I'd write a humourous letter to their Head Office Customer Services department, maybe make up a "Have you seen?" or "Escaped!" type missing pie notice.
Hopefully they will see the funny side (and appreciate it more than just a moan) and send you some vouchers or pies as compensation!

Mildly irritating but life too short for me to complain about this one!
I am not a frequent Ada shopper but was in to our huge local branch last weekend and bought a small Disney Cars vehicle for my son. It was opened outside in the carpark and promptly fell into 4 bits, including 2 sets of small wheels. Cue sobbing.
Had to return to store get replacement, stand in big queue, have car pored over and minutely examined even though receipt clearly showed it had been bought 10 mins before and finally replacement was rubber stamped. Very red eyed son by this stage.
Luckily that was ok. No mention of checking those left on shelf although clearly a choking hazzard for 3 year olds. By that time didn't have the energy to mention it.0 -
thanks for all the replies i think i will be writing the humereous letter as suggested, saves me having to take them back to store plus somehow the other 4 have suddenly dissapeared too.. oops who ate all the pies .. haa haa:rotfl:0

Many years ago when I smoked, I bought a packet of cigarets and it had 19 in it insted of 20. These things happen.
Probably the cost of putting it right will far outweigh the cost of the loss. I should think the cost of a postage stamp is more than the value of the pie.
It will be something you will remember and talk about in the years to come. ( As with my cigaretts )I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
It would have been something wrong with one of the machines or something that package them. I love the extra special asda mince pies, they are de-li-cious!!!!

Earlier this year I bought a pack of 20 cooked cocktail sausages from Tesco reduced to 49p (from introductory offer price of 99p). When I opened them there were only 19 inside. I e-mailed customer service at Tesco to tell them and they gave me 200 clubcard points for my 'disappointment'! Didn't have to trail back to store or spend money on postage.0
