:D When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Hello all,

My list for today:

[STRIKE]Check bank
Quick shower
Email people back
Do comps before work
Check on washing hanging to dry
Clean bathroom
Vacuum upstairs
Tidy after cats and take rubbish out
Work for 4 hours
Oh off so he will collect my prize goody bag
See my nan
Free lunch :)
See my mum
Post comps and test letter
More comps[/STRIKE]
Watch catch up TV

Hope everyone has a good day :)
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T

    So today

    get kids to OH's parents
    send ebay on our way

Pick up books for me to read in the car

Got my £1 an hour payrise yesterday and also work are paying half of my £1000 course!!! It is great but the £1 an hour only really makes my wage what it should be! I have been so underpaid for the last 4 years

So going well at the mo. Have to enrol at college again now!!! :T

Be back on sunday! Have a great weekend

Wannabe- i am glad you are feeling better - hopefully it will go away now

Thanks DNMS, salary is protected...more confusion though, have just spoken to the person I'm going to be working for, and she has a vastly different view of the job than the one that was sold me yesterday... her version is much better ;)

Can't clarify anything though as old boss in holiday for just over a week, but, I'm a bit happier than I was :p

Thanks for your concern, its much appreciated and made me smile :D

    :hello:Hi
I used to post here a bit at the hight of my LBM and starting to clear stuff.. and then generally drifted away, and of course the debt has gradually drifted up a bit too. I had paid £2K and now it's only £ :(

Anyway, having a small LBM today
The one small DFW thing I did today was:
Walk to Tesco instead of M&S to buy salad for lunch. (added bonus.. had to walk a bit further for a bit of exercise :p) Saved £1.19 (£1 for bag of salad which will last me 2 days, as opposed to 1 x salad for £2.19 which would be just 1 meal.)
