    For my two pennorth - I have never paid commission to staff on garden leave only basic salary.

    The employer will have to weigh things up, is giving the OP a few quid worth more than the potential lack of business, or do they want the OP out of the way for other reasons.

    It could be that it's standard policy to put anyone on gardening leave.
    It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical

    excuses for being new

    I don't know how to start a new thread!

    My situation is that i am transferring (TUPE) employers tonight. Old employers fine, new employers have placed me on garden leave for not accepting a compromise agreement.

    Advice please

    Go to the bottom of the "page" where all the threads are listed - there is a button called "New Thread". Start a new one - and give more detail please because there isn't enough here to go on. What has happened and what is the compromise agreement for? What are tyhe terms of the garden leave? As much as you can please - the advice is more accurate that way.
