Gram flour is chickpea flour, I think. Chickpea in German is Kichererbse, so you could try looking for that in ingredients. Not sure how you'd make your own gram flour.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

Gram flour is yellowish in colour and has a very strong chickpea taste. If you can't find it you could try a plain flour as the texture is the same.

  • You can get ready made gram flour in packs from super markets
  • You can buy it in all indian shops - probably cheaper than supermarkets.
  • Hi
Gram flour is Kichererbsenmehl in German and you should be able to get hold of it - definitely in an arabic or asian supermarket in large town or city.
I didn't have any problems getting hold of is when I lived in Germany 15yrs ago so should be even easier nowadays!

Gram flour tastes completely different to normal flour so substituting with normal flour will not give the same flavour!

    Good luck!
