Blockbuster Rental Tip

A small tip for anyone who's a member of Blockbuster online rentals. Don't know if it'll be of any use to anyone, but it seems to work for me. I'm on the unlimited movies a month (3 at any one time) package, and, up until recently, I always tried to return more than one movie in the same envelope, as Blockbuster request.

However, I've found that when I do this, although they obviously receive all three films back at the same time, my next despatch, is often only two, or even one movies, with the rest following on one or even two days later.

So, I've tried an experiment. Bearing in mind that it takes two days to turnaround a despatch (for example, I return a dvd on monday, they receive it on the tuesday and send out the new one later that day, which I then receive on the wednesday), I've sent back differing numbers in the same envelope. I've found that if I return more than one in the same envelope, maybe 50% of the time, they don't all get processed at the same time, wheras if I send them all back in individual envelopes, almost every time, however many I've returned get processed at the same time.

As I've said, this may not work for everyone. It could just be the way my returns get processed, or simply pure coincidence, but for me at least, it seems that if I send the movies back individually, I get my next batch faster.
