I hate moaning, I know a win is a win, but on this occasion I am really disappointed. I won the summer essentials goody bag with Talk Talk and Nair. The competition said £500 worth of Summer essentials, which was to include a pamper party for 4 people.
I have received £175 worth of vouchers for my party.
A straw beach bag RRP £13.50
A John Lewis Picnic Rug RRP £12.99
A silk/cashmere scarf, by pashmina RRP £23.00
A pair of yellow plain Haviana Flip Flops £16.99
Morrocan Hair Mask Approx £28
Elizabeth Arden after Sun cream £24
Nair hair removal creams x 3 £15.00
Leather Passport holder £22.00
Some extremely cheap unbranded aviator style glasses in a case.
(these are extremely poor quality glasses with a rough finish to the metal!!!!!!) approx £15
I was promised clinique after sun at £17, but they had none so sent no 17 instead. with a promise that it will follow.
These add up to approx £360 leaving a defecit of £140 approx owed to me.
I know this post might sound really off, as I am sure others would love to win the prize, and I am greatful to win really.
But where do I stand with this? If a competition says £500 is'nt that what I should receive. I expected some nice sunglasses (Rayban perhaps) and the havianas could have been some nice sparkly one's at £40. The would certainly have been enough money in my prize fund.
The PR company have offered me a pamper voucher for a marriot hotel at a value of £49, but are not prepared to send me any more than £50 in value. This does not seem fair to me, I feel that I have been short changed. They are trying to tell me that they have incurred postage costs and packaging/handling.
That to me is like saying you have won £500 cash but we are only sending you a cheque for £450 to cover our advertising fees or whatever. The expenses of sourcing the prize is surely there cost, as part of their advertising campaign.
If they adverise £500 worth is that not what legally I have to receive?
Sorry for the long rant, but I am very disappointed.
Has anyone else had experience of this sort of thing?

Hello
Well done on the win. I would take the extra offer of the Marriot! And leave it there
I know some comps have T&C's which state the promoter has the right to change the prizes (subsutitutes etc )
Do remember you have won, and will have a nice party on top of it all!0 -
I can see your reasons for disappointment, but I personally would have been pleased to win what you had sent, hope you manage to reach some agreement with them.Bestof2013-AcerLaptop,years supply of Lindt chocolate,Family to Spain,£500,13 bottles of Wine,iPhone 5,2 night island break,Pedal Bike&Helmet,HuntersWellies,TomTomGPSWatch,3 bottlesVodka

complaints@theipm.org.uk email them, they used to be called the isp, and state exactly what u have here xx
They can't say a prize value of £500 then send a lower amount and expect you to be okay with it.
You have every right to moan as u were obviously excited about winning this and should get what the prize stated.
Good luck, if u need help with a letter just shout xxx
edit: maybe cc a last email to nair/talk and the pr company, stating that as they have not resolved the situation u are taking this to the ipm for their advice.
theres a chance nair/talk talk haven't a clue this has happened and might right the situation xxxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -

Poor you! That is disappointing and I can quite see how you feel shortchanged by it.
I would definitely go to the IPM as suggested by Toni. I won a £50 Visa Prepaid Card through the FIFA comp in March which they sent to the wrong person (still haven't received an explanation as to why considering I had typed the response!) I finally went to the IPM and not only did the Card arrive within 14 days - they managed to get them to up it to £100!0 -
awww chick xx first off congrats on your fab prizes that youdo have and hope you get things sorted out. think most of us would be a bit miffed if it happened to us xxx0
