Local Gazette Bankruptcy Notice

Options
Hiya everyone, hope you are all well.
I have today bought our local gazette which I dont normally do but I had put a congrats notice in for my daughters GCSE results. Anyway, my hubbys BR is in it!!! Was discharged in May. It never appeared at the beginning as it had just stopped publishing personal Br's. Any ideas as to why this is in now? (mine is not there by the way)

The lady at the or office told me that they dont put it in local papers anymore. I asked as I was worried about it.

So it has appeared after he was discharged?? that is really odd. I would call the OR and ask about it.

I think the op means local paper, says local gazette.

Not quite exactly right, they do not have to put it in a local paper anymore and for the most part do not, but the OR can do so if they wish, it is completely at their discresion

Do they not tell you if they are putting it in then? and for it to appear after discharge seems a bit odd.

That's really unfair for you and your husband, it must take the edge off the relief of being dismissed :( I'm really sorry. Phoning the OR to find out why can't unprint it now though can it? I feel your frustration.
I've not gone BR yet but I've been worrying about this too, no BR notices in our local gazette for months and then strangely one pops up this week... very odd and it's another thing for me to worry about, I live in such a small gossiping town :( My partner says why doesn't the court just bring back the stocks and be done with it :rotfl:

Interesting, in what circumstances is it deemed as "in the publics interest?"
