Stylish rain jacket/mac etc

I am looking for a rain coat/mac etc to wear when it is raining and doing the school run, shopping etc. All my other rain jackets are either really naff ones with hoods or my nice mac is a bit useless as it doesn't have a hood and you can't carry an unbrella when you are holding hands with 2 kids. Any ideas on what I could buy that would look good but also keep the rain off my head!
TIA

What kind of budget? There's a nice one in Boden for £95 - lots of different colours/patterns. Often a discount code floating round too...

I do love Boden stuff but unfortunately my budget won't strech to that looking for about £50 ish0

bit shorter, but this is nice, at £45: http://www.littlewoods.com/studded-zip-through-parka/733638316.prd?browseToken=%2fb%2f1643%2fs%2fbestsellers%2c0%2fr%2f100&trail=1589-1642-1643&prdToken=/p/prod3551168-sku4978045
another at £45: http://www.littlewoods.com/big-pocket-parka/736874899.prd?browseToken=%2fb%2f1643%2fs%2fbestsellers%2c0%2fr%2f100&trail=1589-1642-1643&prdToken=/p/prod3551723-sku4985734
This looks a bit more heavy duty - might be too heavy for anything other than winter? £55: http://www.littlewoods.com/malabo-parka/734071135.prd?browseToken=%2fb%2f1647%2fs%2fbestsellers%2c0%2fr%2f100&trail=1589-1642-1647&prdToken=/p/prod3551570-sku49833080 -
Depending on how you feel about ebay, there are some bargains there.
I like this for £18.99: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WOMENS-BELTED-BUTTON-BLACK-COAT-HOOD-SIZES-10-16-/270624343907?pt=Women_s_Clothing&var=
only 1 size in this, but i think it's very cute - £34, size 10-12: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Flounce-Double-Breast-Hood-Jacket-Coat-UK-10-12-Blue-/150482633285?pt=Women_s_Clothing0 -

Sorry don't mean to hijack your thread but its jolted my memory to ask if anyone knows of a cheap 'grab n go' waterproof / windproof (warm) coat?
Kind of thing I had in mind is like the kids school coats or a Regatta coat. Something not too smart but veratile for use when having to pop to shop to a night out with friends, yet still acceptable to stay warm and dry whilst hanging round a station waiting for a journey by train or bus. Hope you get the idea
Thanks

What about a light parka (non specific in mind, but anywhere from asda to river island has those army-style jackets in)? Either waterproof already or spray one you like with scotch guard or a silicon waterproofing

Thanks think I saw one end of last winter in Asda bit like a black puffa jacket I think they call them, they were about £10 when I saw them but when I went to get one the following week they were all out of stock
Our closest Asda is miles away! Failure is only someone elses judgement.

Roman originals have just started listing on ebay and they have some sensible jackets for £10.00. Have had one in the past and they last well.
