Loan for Conservatory - double indemnity?!

Can't decide what to make of them. On one hand they seem, pretty good, decent price etc, but these sales tactics and pushing of finance do put me off.
Please do check that it's APR and not Flat Rate that they are quoting. 8.6% sounds too good to be true for finance for such a low amount so would suggest (like ILW says) it is flat rate, making 16%+ APR.
At this level look for finance elsewhere - all credit gives you the additional comfort that they are spouting their finance gives. As already pointed out it is part of the consumer credit act.Thinking critically since 1996....0

This is not strictly true. You cannot take out a personal loan to pay for the conservatory and get the same cover as the point of loan sale. You will NOT be covered under section 75 of the CCA if you take out a personal loan to pay for the job.
Your other option is to use a credit card which will give you the same cover but it depends really what APR you pay on that.0
