Hi Guys, I havevn't been on for a while and so will give you an update!

We decided to go ahead and get out of our mortgaged flat b4 we go BR due to stress and trouble getting somewhere knowing we were going BR, and being knocked back by credit checks etc! So we saw an advert for a private rent not far from where we live and moved in the next day - yippeeee!!! Told landlord about we are going to declare BR and they were fine and happy for us to stay etc so all a great relief on that front!

We are yet to go BR as had to save for the cost and had to pay rent deposits up front etc and hopefully will be able to do it end of this month or next. I went back to our flat yesterday and there's a hand written letter from a guy who said he had come round to discuss our arrears with Paragon Finance (who we have a secured loan with), and said we need to call him ASAP and he will return again - argh!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't think people came round to your door, from what I gathered on this site. This has made me extremely nervous and worried that he will get hold of our new address from our utilities companies or somewhere and come hound us?!

I also received a letter from MBNA saying that if we don't pay asap they will instruct a solicitor to take legal action and can also deduct money from our salaries in order to make the arrears payments - is this true?

We stopped paying bills at the end of May/June so we have no missed about 3 payments - isn't this really quick for these people to be hassling?

Not sure how much I can take of this but can't go BR till we have the money!

Can someone please help or give me some reassurance or advice?

Thanks

People rarely come round, but they sometimes do. We had a similar note from a "field agent" on behald of NR mortages & secured loan, after we moved out.

I wouldn't worry. If your going BR soon, then just save and get it done. Try not to get too stressed, it doesn't help.

Even if you were there, they can't do anything.

We moved out of our house 3 months ago and i have not had 1 letter, let alone visit re: debt be sent to new address. NR have our new address i assume, beacuse the unsuccured loan was in the BR.

I really wouldn't worry to much. Soon all be over and you can start again.
