Part of the Furniture 100 Posts Combo Breaker
Just ordered this from currys. It was £399. Went through quidco and got 5% code bringing it down to £379 and then got £11 cashback. So total of £368 and with free delivery. Tracked within a couple of minutes.

Not bad and at least if it goes wrong i can take it down to a local currys store.

    good spot OP!

amazon have an excellent cutomer service (in my opinion).

bought LG telly from them and 6 months after there was problem with it. emailed them. courier pick it up with no charge on the date i wanted. got a refund with no fuss. i now have a sony telly from amazon of course!
i wish i have live my life a little bit off the book, took a chance and gamble
  • I have been looking for a new TV for ages and waiting for a good deal to come along.

I have just bought this one through Amazon, so fingers crossed it will be everything I am expecting it to be :) I have always read and heard that value for money etc Samsung and LG are the best.

Thanks for the post, I'll let you know next weekn when it arrives what my own opinion is.

    Cheers

Great price for an LG TV of that size!

Don't forget, if you have a nectar card to go to Amazon through Nectar to get your points. They are only worth £1.85 but every little helps, I suppose!
  • Been looking at this tv in tesco for a while - was gonna try and double up my clubcard vouchers after al;l the debate on here, went and tried and it wouldnt work. However, this works out way cheaper than if I had been able to double up!

    Thank you!

Just bought along with an hdmi cable and a wall bracket reduced from 99.99 to 9.99! cant post link as a newbie but prodcut code is B003U46SWC for the wall bracket - hope thats helpful to someone!

  • This is a waste of money as it doesn't receive Freeview HD channels.

I did this on Friday. Luckily they didn't have any in stock in the store and so I went online and went through Quidco and saved loads of money.

This is a waste of money as it doesn't receive Freeview HD channels.

Why is this a waste of money because it doesn't receive Freeview HD?

I'm just guessing but I imagine it would cost a little more to get a TV that does have a built in freeview HD receiver.

Are there extra channels that you get on freeview HD that aren't available on standard freeview?

The house I'm moving into doesn't have an aerial so freeview HD would be pointless for me unless I paid to have a freeview aerial fitted. Will be getting sky or freesat HD instead.

Freeview HD receivers can also be bought seperately from the TV.

Different products for different people, its a good spot and a good set especially at that price
